Bushiroad Move, a subsidiary of Bushiroad Inc., has released the synopsis and preview images for the eighth episode of the television anime 'Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi!', currently serialized in Houbunsha's 'Manga Time Kirara'.
Episode 8, titled 'Aim for Victory! Tennyo Sports Festival,' features a screenplay by Hana Yamada and storyboarding/direction by Shiho Takahashi. The plot centers on the autumn sports festival at Amamiya Girls' Academy. Unlike standard school events, this festival is characterized by extreme luxury and high-budget props orchestrated by the acting chairperson, Rie. Protagonist Meiko Morita, initially overwhelmed by the school's wealth, decides to compete seriously for the grand prize—a whole Wagyu cow—to provide a feast for her younger siblings back home.
The series follows Meiko Morita, a high school student from Akita who moves to Tokyo after being selected for a special transfer program at the prestigious Amamiya Girls' Academy. Contrary to her expectations, she ends up living and working at a manga cafe named 'Hedgehog,' which serves as her dormitory.
The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. Broadcasts will begin on April 11 via the ABC TV and TV Asahi network's 'ANiMAZiNG!!!' block, followed by BS Nittele on April 13 and AT-X on April 14. Animation production is handled by P.R.A. under the direction of Toshinori Watanabe. The opening theme 'Ciao Ciao' is performed by Sophià la Mode, while the ending theme is provided by Mugendai Mewtype.
