Broadleaf Co., Ltd. conducted an all-employee tree-planting event on May 15-16, 2026, in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Initiating the 'Broadleaf Forest', 2,700 seedlings of 27 native broadleaf tree species were planted. This regional collaboration leveraged expertise from the company's 'GrowLeaf Project' and involved around 800 employees plus member companies. The initiative adopted the 'Miyawaki Method', a mixed and dense planting technique designed to cultivate a natural forest within 3-5 years. Seedlings like Ring-cupped oak and Machilus thunbergii were selected based on surveys of local shrines. Workshops on utilizing thinned wood were also held. The project aims to foster employee awareness of environmental conservation and support the 'Nature Positive' goal of reversing biodiversity loss, contributing to a sustainable society.
