Hosting 'I am alone, but not lonely' experience events in Atami this June. Solo travel platform 'Solo Tori' offers two days of plum syrup making & reward sweets experience and SUP experience

Solo travel matching platform 'Solo Tori,' operated by Horn Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naoki Matsumoto), will hold experience events for its members in Atami: 'Picking plums at a seaside farm and reward sweets for lunch' (June 19, 2026) and 'View Atami from the sea with SUP' (June 26, 2026).

'I am alone, but not lonely'—Solo Tori aims to create a space where travelers can cherish both the 'time for oneself' that solo travel provides and 'casual connections' with people who share similar values. These events are part of a coordinated effort for the Izu area verification project (in collaboration with Atami City, Ito City, and Mishima Shinkin Bank) which started on May 11, 2026.

Simultaneously, the new content 'Atagawa Quest (The Spirited Away in the hot spring town of Atagawa)' for the regional touring project 'TripQuest' has been released. Incentives for quest completers include lodging vouchers for Atami Prince Hotel and limited-edition Solo Tori goods.

Concept of the Solo Tori Experience Program

Released on May 11, 2026, Solo Tori's concept is 'Making solo travel easier and more free.' During the verification project, many users expressed a desire for a space where they could cherish their 'time for oneself' while also having casual connections with like-minded individuals.

'Being alone is not loneliness, it is a choice.' The company's survey found that 92% of respondents reported improved interpersonal relationships after spending time alone, suggesting that 'time for oneself' and 'casual connections' are not contradictory but can coexist. 'I am alone, but not lonely' is the shared concept for Solo Tori's experience programs. The company will continue to develop experience programs that allow participants to join alone yet connect casually.

These events were planned based on the people and places encountered in Atami by members of the Solo Tori magazine editorial team, with the wish to visit these spots with Solo Tori members. 【Event 1】Picking plums at a seaside farm and reward sweets for lunch Experience harvesting plums and preparing plum syrup at 'Takara no Hatake,' a farm on a hill in the Izumi district of Atami, overlooking Sagami Bay. You can take your bottle home. Lunch will feature 'assiette dessert' from the popular local dessert shop 'Choud La mer.' Date: June 19, 2026 (Fri) 9:30-14:00 / Meeting place: In front of Atami station ticket gate / Participation fee: 3,300 yen for Takara no Hatake, actual cost for Choud La mer / Capacity: 5 people (Maki to participate).

【Event 2】View Atami from the sea with SUP Experience SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) at Atami Sun Beach. After receiving instructions, enjoy the Atami townscape from the sea, a perspective different from the usual. Date: June 26, 2026 (Fri) 12:30-14:30 / Meeting place: In front of Atami station ticket gate / Participation fee: 8,800 yen / Capacity: 5 people (Maki to participate).
