The International Hokusai Society, part of the Japan Academy of Fine Arts (headquartered in Tokyo), of which Bonmax Co., Ltd. (Chuo Ward, Tokyo; President Yuichi Tokokawa) is a member, will exhibit at the 'Inbound Goods EXPO' held within 'LifestyleWeek TOKYO' at Tokyo Big Sight from June 24 (Wed) to 26 (Fri), 2026.

This exhibition will showcase a wide range of products developed by manufacturers across Japan, combining the globally celebrated artwork of Katsushika Hokusai with Japan’s exceptional craftsmanship.

The product lineup includes towels, hanging scrolls, apparel, accessories, food items, and outdoor goods, all presented as innovative souvenir and retail options for international visitors to Japan.

Hokusai Art × Japanese Craftsmanship

Katsushika Hokusai is internationally acclaimed for masterpieces such as 'Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji' and is widely recognized as a symbol of Japanese culture, particularly among inbound tourists.

This exhibition will feature products that merge the artistic appeal of Hokusai’s works with the advanced technical expertise, quality, and design capabilities cultivated by Japanese companies.

Exhibiting Companies (planned):

- K's Creation Co., Ltd. (towel products)

- Masumi Tokyo Co., Ltd. (hanging scrolls)

- Bonmax Co., Ltd. (apparel and accessories)

- Mimona Co., Ltd. (outdoor spice products under the brand 'Horinishi')

- Yamamoto Noriten Co., Ltd. (nori products)

Additionally, reference products from approximately 10 manufacturers participating in the 'International Hokusai Club Product Committee' will also be displayed.

New Product Proposals for Retail and Tourism Industries

This exhibition will target the following businesses:

- Department stores, specialty shops, shopping malls, hotels, and inns

- Tourism associations, train stations, airports, museum shops, and tourist facilities

The Society will also promote Hokusai-related products leveraging Japanese craftsmanship to overseas department stores, retail outlets, and museum shops at art museums and cultural institutions worldwide.

Permanent Store and E-Commerce Launch After Exhibition

Following the exhibition, 'HOKUSAI HOUSE (Hokusai Gallery & Shop)' is scheduled to open in July 2026 on the first floor of Bonmax Co., Ltd.'s headquarters (16-1 Nihonbashi, Chuo Ward, Tokyo).

The facility will offer permanent sales of Hokusai-related goods and serve as an information hub for domestic and international customers.

Additionally, an online store, including cross-border e-commerce, will be launched to sell products not only within Japan but also to Hokusai fans around the world.
