LA-based singer-songwriter Shihori, known for composing hits like 'Hatsukoi Cider' (Buono!), released her new song 'When I Decided Not To Die' digitally today, June 5. The title, which translates to 'The day I decided not to die,' is based on her own experience of overcoming severe bullying during elementary school. Within the seemingly pop and refreshing music lies a raw and earnest message of 'wanting to live,' making it a powerful 'hymn of life.' On the sound side, Shinya Saito participated in the co-arrangement, and the mix was handled by British engineer Yoad Nevo, known for his work with Sia. A new album, 'ESCALATION,' is scheduled for release this summer.
