The new 'SEAL × SPINGLE Waterproof SNEAKER' from the SEAL brand is a domestically handmade collaborative sneaker combining used tire tubes and genuine leather.

The upper uses high-durability genuine leather and discarded tire tubes from large vehicles. Without grinding or processing the used tire tubes, the material’s inherent impact resistance, durability, and waterproof properties are preserved and reused directly in the sneaker’s upper.

By combining genuine leather and tire tubes—each with distinct textures—the design achieves a rugged yet refined all-black aesthetic that highlights the individuality of each material. Since tire tubes are pre-used materials, each has unique surface marks, patterns, and textures, ensuring no two sneakers are exactly alike.

SPINGLE, the manufacturer, is a purely domestic handmade sneaker brand based in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where artisans handcraft each pair. It features the traditional 'vulcanized construction' method, which bonds the sole to the upper, and offers a comfortable fit that wraps the entire foot.

This product also adopts design considerations for the Japanese foot shape and domestic handmade craftsmanship by skilled artisans. Despite using tough materials, it delivers a comfortable fit suitable for long-term wear.
