Yutoria Inc. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yosuke Iwai) is pleased to announce that it has successfully raised funds through a third-party allotment of shares with Saitama Resona Startup Support Fund (Saitama Resona Startup Support Investment Business Limited Partnership) as the underwriter.
Through this funding, we will further strengthen product development, supply systems, sales channels, and media outreach, aiming to grow Japanese culture and traditional crafts into brands that reach the world.
Background of Funding
In recent years, interest in Japanese culture and traditional crafts has been growing both domestically and internationally. However, systems for commercializing, disseminating, and selling the techniques and narratives held by artisans and workshops in line with the modern market are still not fully established.
Our company views daruma as a symbolic product of Japanese culture and aims to create new markets by re-editing it as a brand that can be developed for art, gifts, interiors, corporate demand, and overseas markets.
With this funding, we will strengthen product development, supply systems, sales channels such as e-commerce, POPUP stores, and wholesale, as well as overseas outreach, to grow daruma culture into a modern cultural industry.

Representative's Comment
Yutoria Inc. Representative Director, Yosuke Iwai
Daruma are familiar lucky charms for Japanese people, yet I feel that their cultural background and appeal as artistic creations have not yet been fully conveyed to modern life and overseas markets.
At YOHΛKU TOKYO, we aim to expand the "blank space" inherent in daruma into art, design, gifts, and interiors, and to foster Japanese daruma culture into an icon symbolizing the modern cultural industry.

I met Mr. Iwai at a networking event for the founding members of a previous investee company that successfully achieved an M&A. The following week, on a holiday, I heard about his business in detail at an izakaya in Yotsuya. As soon as he sat down, he said, "I apologize for only knowing cheap places," which was a perfect opening line for an entrepreneur seeking funding. Although he dropped out of Sophia University and is on his second venture (his first was in the matcha business), he must be familiar with the Yotsuya area, but I felt he was dedicated to business without being distracted by youthful pursuits. On the other hand, I initially couldn't understand the business itself at all, thinking, "Daruma is a venture company???" However, inspired by his persistent passion, I was the one who spoke the loudest in the final investment decision meeting, advocating for the potential of daruma. I look forward to seeing Saitama's traditional daruma cross the seas and be loved by many people from different cultures.
