The 'FUJI BerriQs SKATE PLAZA' located within Fuji-Q Highland (Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi) will undergo a renewal under a new management system starting Monday, June 1, 2026. The new management will strengthen safety by having staff stationed on-site. The facility will be repositioned not just as a competition venue, but as a place for 'nurturing' and a 'community hub' where local youth can easily enjoy sports. It will also accelerate its development as a 'culture complex' where various street cultures intersect. The park is produced by 'The Berrics,' a world-class skateboarding media founded by professional skaters Eric Koston and Steve Berra. It features a unique design blending 'Los Angeles and Japanese gardens' and an open space without fences. To celebrate the new start, a campaign will be held from June 1 to 14, offering free rentals including beginner sets, along with a free beginner's workshop on June 6.
