With the addition of this clinic, the examination system for the "Metallo-Balance Test" in the Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture area will be further expanded, providing local residents with a more accessible and new option for health management.

What is the Metallo-Balance (MB) Test?

This is a risk screening (sorting) test that objectively assesses the risk of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) at the time of blood collection by analyzing the concentration balance of 17 types of trace elements (metal elements) in the blood.

【Features of this Test】

Just one 6mL blood draw: Blood is collected safely under the appropriate management system of a medical institution. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, is short, and has minimal physical burden, providing peace of mind.

Site-specific "Cancer Risk Test": A single blood draw assesses the risk of the following cancers by site (6 sites for men, 9 sites for women) and evaluates them on a 4-level scale from A to D. Proven Research Results and Domestic/International Recognition: Developed with research grants from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Go-Tech project and through joint research with Kanagawa Cancer Center and Chiba Cancer Center. Patents have been obtained in 9 countries worldwide, including Japan, and the cumulative number of examinees has surpassed 100,000 (results from April 2019 to March 2026).

Examination Flow and Main Precautions Before Examination

*Due to the need for document mailing procedures, advance application is required approximately 3 weeks before the desired examination date (reservations are strictly by appointment only).

Application: Please apply via the web or by phone. Approximately one week before your reservation date, a set of examination documents will be delivered to your home.

Day of Examination (Blood Collection): As reservations are strictly by appointment, blood collection will proceed smoothly (approx. 15 minutes). Payment is made later, so no payment is required at the counter on the day.

Result Notification: The invoice (payment slip) will be mailed to your home approximately 3 weeks after blood collection, and the test results will be mailed approximately 5 weeks after blood collection.

【Main Precautions Before Examination】

Food and Drink: No food or drink after 9:00 PM the day before. No alcohol from the day before. Water: Please drink plenty of water to facilitate blood collection.

Medications and Supplements: No over-the-counter medications or supplements from the day before. Continue taking prescribed medications as usual.

This test is not covered by health insurance and is considered out-of-pocket medical expenses. You can choose from the following courses according to your needs.

【Regarding Target Age】

Cancer Risk Test: Japanese individuals aged 20 to 80

Cognitive Risk Test: Japanese individuals aged 50 to 80

*This test was developed based on data from Japanese individuals within the above age ranges. Therefore, while individuals outside these age ranges or foreign nationals can undergo the test, the results will be considered "reference values" only. Please understand this in advance.

【The following individuals cannot undergo the test】

Individuals who are pregnant or within 6 months postpartum.

Individuals undergoing cancer treatment or who have completed cancer treatment less than 1 year ago.

Individuals undergoing dialysis.

Individuals with bone fractures, blood disorders, or immunodeficiency (excluding dyslipidemia due to high triglycerides, etc.).

Individuals who are unwell (e.g., due to lack of sleep, after staying up all night, immediately after strenuous exercise, under severe stress, or if experiencing symptoms such as a cold, asthma, shingles, allergic rash, or rhinitis).
