Renatech Inc. (Headquarters: Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture), a company that develops health indicators based on trace elements and applies them to real-world use, announces the opening of reservations for its self-developed and provided screening test, the 'Metallo Balance Test,' which assesses risks of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment), at its partner medical institution, Tokushima Heisei Hospital (Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture), for the period from August to October 2026.
With the establishment of a continuous testing system at this hospital, access to the 'Metallo Balance Test' in the Tokushima City area will be stably secured, contributing as a practical option for local residents' daily health management and pre-disease prevention.
Renatech will continue to work with partner medical institutions nationwide to maintain and expand testing availability, aiming to encourage more people to take interest in their health and reflect on their daily health management and lifestyle habits as part of pre-disease prevention.
What is the Metallo Balance (MB) Test?
The Metallo Balance Test is a risk screening (triage) test that objectively evaluates the risk of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) at the time of blood draw by analyzing the concentration balance of 17 trace elements (metal elements) in the blood.
### Key Features of the Test
- Only one 6mL blood draw: Blood is safely collected under the proper management of medical institutions. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, minimizing physical burden and ensuring safety.
- Site-specific 'Cancer Risk Test': With a single blood draw, cancer risks are evaluated by site (6 sites for men, 9 for women) and scored on a four-tier scale from A to D. - [Men] Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer - [Women] Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer
- Comprehensive 'Cognitive Risk Test (MCI Risk Assessment)': Evaluates all types of cognitive impairment, including not only Alzheimer's type but also vascular and Lewy body types.
- Proven research results and international recognition: Developed through joint research with Kanagawa Prefectural Cancer Center and Chiba Prefectural Cancer Center, supported by a research grant from METI's Go-Tech program. Patented in 9 countries including Japan, with over 100,000 test takers cumulatively (as of March 2026, from April 2019).
