Wakayama Farm Co., Ltd. (Location: 2018 Hoki Honcho, Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, Representative Director: Taro Wakayama) has reopened its "Wakatake no Mori Wakayama Farm" with the introduction of a new service on July 1, 2026 (Wed).
As the first commemorative project to mark the 10th anniversary of the launch of its tourism business, we introduce "Bamboo Sea of Clouds," which utilizes the latest dry fog technology. By generating an artificial sea of clouds within the bamboo forest, you can now enjoy a fantastical landscape like never before.
The bamboo forest, stretching as far as the eye can see, becomes even more magical with the sea of clouds effect.
Fantastical World Spreading Through the Bamboo Forest "Bamboo Sea of Clouds"
Wakatake no Mori has been a bamboo forest tourist facility for over 100 years, cultivating bamboo shoots, bamboo, and chestnuts, and is also known as a filming location for movies, commercials, and promotional videos.
The newly introduced sea of clouds generation system sprays ultra-fine mist at regular intervals to create a mystical sea of clouds that covers the base of the bamboo forest.
The appearance of the sea of clouds changes depending on the temperature, humidity, and wind conditions of the day.
- A mystical view of the bamboo forest enveloped in mist - Moments when sunbeams pierce through the leaves, creating light rays - A fantastical space that shows different expressions in the morning and evening
We offer a new bamboo forest experience that fuses nature and technology, which can only be experienced here.

For over a century, across three generations of our family, we have operated with the belief that "agriculture is about soil building," and have continued to cultivate bamboo shoots and chestnuts using environmentally friendly farming methods.
A wide variety of bamboo grows on the premises, and visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through the breathtaking bamboo forest that stretches as far as the eye can see, as well as various experiences, making it popular with domestic and international tourists.
In particular, the matcha green tea served in bamboo cups on weekends and holidays, and the bamboo forest illumination held on weekend and holiday nights, are popular. In recent years, it has also gained attention as a filming location for movies, dramas, commercials, and music videos.
