Long-Awaited Book Release: "Doomae-san chi no Huff to Takatsu," Essays on Life with Cats by Toru Doomae of Long Coat Daddy

Keihanshin Lmagazine Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Osaka) will publish "Doomae-san chi no Huff to Takatsu" by Toru Doomae (Long Coat Daddy) on Monday, June 22, 2026.

The serial began in June 2021 as "Doomae-san chi no Huff" in the monthly magazine "Meets Regional." Following the author's move to Tokyo and the addition of a second cat, the serial was renewed as "Doomae-san chi no Huff to Takatsu" in the sister publication "SAVVY" starting with the January 2025 issue and is currently ongoing as of May 2026.

This book compiles these humorous serial articles, covering everyday life with his cats Huff and Takatsu, incorporating delusions and creative elements reflecting the comedic perspective of a "King of Conte" champion.

In addition to the 59 previous serial articles, the book includes a newly written essay titled "Eating Out with Everyone," a fictional scenario where the author goes out for drinks with his two cats. It also features a newly photographed project titled "Kasaya-san Came to Doomae's House," shot by fellow comedian Shohei Kasaya (formerly of Port Washington), and a special appendix titled "I Want to Play with Mayurika," for which the author handled layout, shooting direction, interviewing, and writing.

Three campaigns will be held to commemorate the release:

1. Signed Photo Giveaway: Using the entry ticket included with the book, 10 winners (5 for each photo type) will receive a signed original photo featuring Toru Doomae (Long Coat Daddy) with Huff and Takatsu. Deadlines: Dec 31, 2026 (Thu) and March 31, 2027 (Wed).

2. Bookstore Original Sticker Bonus: Original stickers (6 types in total) will be distributed at participating bookstores. Details will be announced later on the official website.
