Kyodo International Acquires 3D Ball Mill Business

Nagao System Co., Ltd. (HQ: Asao-ku, Kawasaki; Representative Director: Fumiyoshi Nagao) transferred its 3D ball mill business to Kyodo International Co., Ltd. (HQ: Miyamae-ku, Kawasaki; Representative Director: Kenshin Ikeda) effective October 31, 2025.

3D ball mills are used in grinding, mixing, and dispersion technology across a wide range of fields including material development, batteries, magnetic materials, pharmaceuticals, and ceramics. Demand for this technology has been growing both domestically and internationally.

[About 3D Ball Mill Grinding Technology] 3D ball mills are designed around a grinding technology that micronizes materials with high uniformity. Through a unique motion that oscillates the container in three axes, media (balls) repeatedly collide and shear in complex trajectories, stably achieving micronization in the sub-micron range (approx. 0.2 to 1.5 µm).
