Daisen Watershed Research Institute Established in Daisen-ji Area, Tottori Prefecture; 'Watershed Philosophy Dojo Tengu Chaya' Concept Launched

Daisen Watershed Research Institute Co., Ltd. (Daisen-cho, Tottori Prefecture; Representative Director: Dai Akimoto) established a new company in the Daisen-ji area of Daisen-cho on April 1, 2026. The company will utilize the dormant facility 'Tengu Chaya' located on the grounds of the temple lodging 'Kansho-in Sanrakuso' to launch the 'Watershed Philosophy Dojo Tengu Chaya' concept. Additionally, crowdfunding for facility renovation and activity base development is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026. Since 2023, the company has held a two-night, three-day training program called 'Program to Embody the Daisen Watershed,' with over 300 participants in total. The new company was established to develop these activities into a continuous, community-rooted business. The new facility, 'Tengu Chaya,' aims to foster next-generation leaders who can experience the watershed through all four seasons and develop a new view of nature suitable for modern society. The crowdfunding campaign will raise funds to renovate the dormant facility in the Daisen-ji area, once a sacred site for Shugendo, into a multi-purpose space. Moving forward, the company plans to collaborate with the Sentsu-yama watershed in Shimane Prefecture to expand next-generation leader development programs and corporate training businesses.
