Toyama Kankyo Seibi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture; Representative Director: Hideki Matsuura; hereinafter "Toyama Kankyo Seibi") is pleased to announce the appointment of Katsuko Kawazoe, Chairperson of Green prop Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Kenji Kawazoe; hereinafter "Green prop"), as a Director of the company.

Background and Purpose of the Appointment In recent years, as the demand for resource circulation and decarbonization grows, the waste management industry is expected to play a role beyond mere "disposal," serving as a sophisticated resource circulation system and sustainable social infrastructure. Achieving this requires not only "hardware"—diverse facilities and advanced technology—but also collaboration with "software," which handles connections with society, such as on-site operations, support for waste generators, and resource circulation design.

Toyama Kankyo Seibi has continuously challenged itself to solve social and regional issues through waste-based business, leveraging innovative technology and diverse processing facilities cultivated over half a century, as well as developing agricultural businesses that collaborate deeply with the local community.

On the other hand, Green prop has built its strengths on software-based expertise, including consulting capabilities cultivated on-site while working closely with customers in waste management support and CSR/sustainability areas, branding to improve social recognition of the waste management industry, and an organizational management style that promotes business in unity with employees.

Through this appointment, we will further strengthen the collaboration between the two companies, leveraging our respective strengths to contribute to the realization of a sustainable future and the enhancement of the entire industry's value.

Comment from Director Katsuko Kawazoe I have been appointed as a Director of Toyama Kankyo Seibi. Having been involved in the waste industry for nearly 30 years at Green prop, I believe that waste management is an infrastructure that supports the foundation of society. It involves every process from the birth of a product to its use and end-of-life, circulating it as a new resource. Without this work, society would not function for a single day.

I believe that everything has value. Even what is called "waste" is just waiting for its value to be discovered; with the right technology and systems, it will surely turn into a resource. I believe that a resource-circulating society is such a world.

However, that world cannot be created by processors alone. It requires the power of hardware—advanced facilities and processing capacity—and the power of software—supporting generators and designing circulation systems. Only when both are seriously combined can it be realized.

Toyama Kankyo Seibi possesses the processing capacity, technology, and local trust that have supported the Hokuriku region for many years. Green prop has accumulated experience in on-site waste management support and branding that conveys the value of this industry to society. This appointment is a step toward connecting these two forces in earnest.

As a player in the infrastructure industry, I want to support the foundation of society together. I will work from the field and through our business to create a society where everything leads to the next value.

Comment from Representative Director Hideki Matsuura Until now, Toyama Kankyo Seibi has been engaged in waste management and resource circulation by leveraging various facilities and technologies. On the other hand, I feel that to realize a sustainable society, it is important to have a perspective that not only focuses on technology but also works closely with the field to design circulation together with waste generators and local communities.

Green prop is a company that has built unique value in on-site waste management support and CSR/sustainability areas. By welcoming Ms. Kawazoe, we intend to deepen our collaboration from both hardware and software perspectives to build a resource circulation infrastructure that is more needed by society.

Also, I believe that things that cannot be achieved by one company alone can expand into new possibilities by walking with partners who share the same aspirations. Starting with Ms. Kawazoe's appointment, we will further expand our alliance partners. We will continue to challenge ourselves to be a company that is needed by the region and society.
