Yamaguchi Aburaya Fukutaro Co., Ltd. (Fukuoka City) announced that its signature product, 'Menbei,' will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026. To commemorate this, the 'Menbei 25th Anniversary Project' has been launched under the theme 'Enjoying Menbei.' As the first phase, a new regular flavor, 'Menbei Ago Dashi' (flying fish stock), will be released on June 12. Developed over a year, it combines the elegant umami of Nagasaki-grown roasted flying fish powder with the spicy kick of mentaiko. Prices are 260 yen for a 2-piece x 2-bag pack and 860 yen for a 2-piece x 8-bag pack. Additionally, a fan-participatory 'Menbei General Election' and commemorative events will be held across various locations. A special website featuring 'Menbei History' will also be launched to look back on the brand's 25-year journey. Since its debut in 2001, Menbei has been loved as a snack that makes the deliciousness of mentaiko easy to enjoy, and the company plans to continue delivering new experiences.
