A New Restaurant to Experience the 'Unadorned Luxury' of Higashidori Village Begins.

Since 2022, the To-o Nippo Press has been working on a project to revitalize Higashidori Village on the Shimokita Peninsula, Aomori Prefecture, through food. The village is a 'treasure trove of food,' blessed with rich nature and high-quality ingredients. A new restaurant facility is being launched to showcase the charm of these luxurious ingredients by bringing out their 'raw' quality and sharing them with the rest of the country. Ahead of the opening, a pre-opening event will be held on May 29, 2026, for media and stakeholders. On the day, chef and village ambassador Shimpei Kurihara and the Mayor of Higashidori will speak about the concept and announce the new nickname for the facility. The restaurant will serve the village's prized ingredients, such as Higashidori beef and abalone, using exquisite recipes created by Kurihara. This marks the beginning of a unique dining experience that fuses the identity of Higashidori Village with Kurihara's sensibilities.
