Adult Playground "Playground+" to Appear for a Limited Time at Shibuya Sakura Stage's "Nigiwai STAGE", Directly Connected to Shibuya Station!

Sakuraomodaka Co., Ltd. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Founding Representative: Kei Sakurazawa, hereinafter "the Company") will launch a limited-time playground where adults and children can play healthily, "Playground+ in Shibuya Sakura Stage," for seven days from Friday, July 10, 2026, to Thursday, July 16, 2026, at "Nigiwai STAGE" on the 3rd floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage, adjacent to Shibuya Station.

What is "Playground+"?

"Playground+" is an "adult playground" where people can enjoy sports and games while enjoying drinks and food, and connect with others through natural conversation. At this venue, in addition to sports such as "Mölkky," which originated in Finland, and "Cornhole," which originated in the United States, we will offer nostalgic games like Big Jenga and Connect 4, as well as activities that even first-timers can easily enjoy.

We aim to create a space where a wide range of people, from business people working nearby, families living in the vicinity, to young people and tourists visiting Shibuya, can interact across generations and backgrounds through shared play. Limited-time events are also planned for specific days of the week, so you may discover new ways to enjoy your visit each time.

Background of "Playground+" Development

"Musashino Valley Incubation Studio (hereinafter "MVIS")" is a hands-on incubation studio led by Yoichi Ito, a business book author with cumulative sales of over 1 million copies, including the bestseller "Speak in 1 Minute" (720,000 copies sold), and Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship at Musashino University.

It all began when the idea of "placemaking in urban areas (creating comfortable places)" that urban architect Ken Shigematsu had nurtured for many years met with the aspirations of Kei Sakurazawa, the Company's representative, for "utilizing urban idle assets and creating new communities" during the first phase of this studio.

Cities have public spaces where many people pass through daily, but many of these are consumed merely as "passageways." Furthermore, there are still insufficient places where people can connect flatly and naturally, transcending generations, titles, and nationalities.

With the conviction that "play has the power to flatten people," we thoroughly examined and materialized the business model, customer value, and operational structure through the MVIS program. As the first project to implement Mr. Shigematsu's idea into society, we are now fully launching "Playground+".

This limited-time event at Shibuya Sakura Stage is our first practical implementation towards realizing the "new urban landscape where adults and children naturally connect through play" that we aim for, and it is positioned as an important demonstration experiment to verify customer acceptance.
