[Important Notice] Regarding Sponsor Indication for the YouTube Program "HOSTCALL"

Since June 29, Reiwa 8, a program titled "HOSTCALL" (hereinafter referred to as "the Program") has been available on YouTube. In the program's description, "Manekiya," operated by our company, is listed as a "Platinum Sponsor." Furthermore, "Manekiya" is also introduced as a sponsor within the program itself.

However, the indication in the description and the introduction within the program are contrary to the facts, and our company has not entered into any sponsorship agreement for the Program. We ask all concerned parties to be aware of this and avoid any misunderstandings.

It is true that our company was in discussions with relevant parties regarding a sponsorship agreement for the Program, and for this reason, our representative participated in the filming of the Program's first episode during the discussion phase.

However, subsequently, due to strong public criticism regarding statements made by an announcer about the diabetes medication "Mounjaro" in another YouTube program distributed by the business operator planning and distributing the Program (hereinafter referred to as "the Distributor"), our company notified the business operator with whom we were in discussions (hereinafter referred to as "the Negotiating Party") that we could not become a sponsor from a compliance perspective. We also notified the Distributor via certified mail on June 8, Reiwa 8, that our company would not be involved with the Program and requested that any parts related to our company in the filmed video be edited or deleted.

Despite the fact that no sponsorship agreement was concluded and that we had provided the aforementioned notification in advance, the Distributor has introduced our company as a sponsor in the Program's description and within the Program, presenting false information. Furthermore, our company has not consented to the public release of parts related to our company in the Program, and we believe that such release may infringe upon the portrait rights of our representative, our trademark rights, and other rights.

Therefore, our company is currently requesting the Distributor and the Negotiating Party to remove the sponsor indication of our company from the Program's description and to delete the parts related to our company from within the Program. We are also considering taking necessary legal action if a sincere response is not received in the future.
