Food Manufacturers' Collaborative 'Project A' Begins Distribution of 2026 Food Allergy Supplementary Reader

Six food manufacturers with allergy-friendly products [SSK Foods, Otafuku Sauce, Kenmin Foods, Nagatanien, Nippon Ham, and House Foods] are engaged in 'Project A,' a collaborative initiative aimed at realizing a society where everyone can enjoy meals regardless of food allergies. We are working on the promotion of allergy-friendly products, joint recipe development, and awareness activities. We have been distributing the supplementary reader 'Let's Know! Let's Learn! Food Allergies: Let's Eat Deliciously Together,' first published in 2021, for six years now. This reader is designed for 5th and 6th-grade elementary students to foster interest in food allergies from a young age. Since May 2021, we have distributed it to 2,036 schools over five years, with a total of 280,000 copies, providing many students with the opportunity to learn about food allergies. For the 2026 fiscal year, we updated some data and began accepting requests on April 14.
