Talk Event 'Let's Ask Hiraishi-san!! The Deep Story of the Eagles' to be Held

Kahoku Shimpo Publishing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Aoba-ku, Sendai City; Chairman and Representative Director: Masahiko Ikki) is pleased to announce that it will hold a talk event titled 'Let's Ask Hiraishi-san!! The Deep Story of the Eagles' at the Kahoku Shimpo building on Saturday, June 20th.

Former Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles manager Yosuke Hiraishi and former key player Teppei will discuss the Eagles' recent performances and share memories. This is a real-life event for the Kahoku Shimpo Online YouTube program 'A Show Where Teppei Just Loosely Talks About Rakuten in the Green Room' (abbreviated as 'Raku-Yuru'). However, it will not be released on YouTube afterward; it is a completely closed event where only participants can enjoy 'inside stories.' Applications for participants are being accepted until June 10th.

Mr. Hiraishi joined the Eagles in 2005. After retiring, he served as the farm team manager from 2012 to 2018. In 2019, he became the first homegrown player to be appointed manager of the Eagles. He led the team, which had finished last the previous year, to third place, achieving the team's first-ever appearance in the Climax Series in a manager's debut season. Although he stepped down after just one year, much to the fans' regret, his leadership is still highly regarded. He currently works as a professional baseball commentator.

Mr. Teppei joined the Eagles in 2006 after playing for the Chunichi Dragons. A former key player who won the Pacific League batting title in 2009, he also served as team captain and players' union representative. After retiring, he spent three years from 2019 as a coach for the Eagles. He is currently active in multiple roles as a baseball commentator and guitarist.
