GeGeGe Ukiyo-e "Friendship of Falling Flowers" Re-release Announced! Popular work from last year returns for a limited time from June 10

Hansan Co., Ltd. (President: Eiji Sakai), which plans and produces various ukiyo-e works, is developing the "GeGeGe Ukiyo-e" series, which expresses the world of the nationally beloved anime "GeGeGe no Kitaro" through ukiyo-e techniques.

One of these works, "Friendship of Falling Flowers," which was sold for a limited time last year, garnered a great response immediately after its release, and even after the sales period ended, many requests for a re-release were received.

In response to these requests, a limited-time re-release has been decided. It will be available from June 10 to June 30 at the online shop "Ukiyo-e Kobo."

About "GeGeGe Ukiyo-e: Friendship of Falling Flowers"

This work expresses the relationship between Kitaro's father and Mizuki, as depicted in the movie "Kitaro Tanjo: GeGeGe no Nazo," using the unique composition and colors of ukiyo-e. The two figures standing amidst falling cherry blossoms quietly exude friendship, fate, and transience.

The motifs include Utagawa Kuniyoshi's "Raishokuro (Shokuro)," Utagawa Yoshiharu's "Aoto Fuji Hana no Nishiki-e: Shiranami Gonin Otoko," and Utagawa Kunisada (3rd Utagawa Toyokuni)'s "Hana Sasoi Yoshiwara no Yoru Ame: To Hakkei no Uchi, Nakamura Utaemon."

The image of Mizuki casually holding an umbrella over Kitaro's father, and Kitaro's father captivated by the swirling cherry blossoms and snow, quietly conveys the warmth of friendship.

Hansan Artist: Yoshiyuki Ebata

In charge of ukiyo-e design at Hansan Co., Ltd. In recent years, he has been active in a wide range of fields, including NFT art collaborations with Astro Boy and creating ukiyo-e icons for companies.
