Rikei Corporation announced that Synspective Inc. has adopted 'Windchill,' a PLM solution provided by PTC Japan, and 'Creo,' a 3D CAD software, and has begun system implementation.
Synspective is a company that handles the development, manufacturing, operation, and satellite data provision for SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites, currently producing 12 satellites per year. As they are in a growth phase with plans for continuous expansion in production scale, they adopted these products to oversee the entire product lifecycle—from development to manufacturing, operation, and management—and to build a manufacturing foundation capable of flexibly responding to future business expansion.
With the introduction of 'Windchill,' which centrally manages the product structure and design information of complex and sophisticated satellite systems, enabling information sharing and utilization across organizations and locations, they will improve the operational efficiency of satellite system development and transition to 'Creo,' which has high affinity with 'Windchill.'
Rikei will support the company by addressing its specific challenges and business strategies, providing end-to-end services from system construction and delivery to maintenance support.
Leveraging over 40 years of experience and expertise in the satellite communications business, Rikei will continue to provide various products and services related to strengthening the design and development manufacturing foundation for Japan's space industry, including Synspective, alongside PTC's advanced digital engineering technologies.
