Deserted Island Escape Survival Training for Corporations
TRAPOL Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; Representative: Kengo Moriwaki), a subsidiary of Compass Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Fumito Sasaki), will officially launch the "Deserted Island Escape Survival Training" program, utilizing the uninhabited island of Yanaha-jima (Yanaha-jima) in Izena Village, Okinawa Prefecture, in collaboration with the General Incorporated Association Izenajima Tourism Association (Chairman: Sadamitsu Nakagawa) and the Izena Fishery Cooperative, starting in July 2026.
This service distinguishes itself from conventional "classroom learning" or "recreational activities in well-equipped hotels" type training. It is an ultimate action learning (experiential) program where teams unite to clear missions in an extreme natural environment completely isolated from digital and existing infrastructure.

Why "Deserted Island Escape Survival Training" Now?
With the spread of generative AI and the establishment of remote work, information gathering, analysis, and operational efficiency have become easier than ever. On the other hand, many companies are facing the following challenges:
Weakening relationships and trust among team members
Reduced opportunities to pose questions and take on challenges due to being accustomed to searching for answers
Lack of on-site judgment and response capabilities in unprecedented situations
These skills are difficult to acquire through classroom learning alone and are best cultivated through actual experience.
Survival Skills: Escape Challenge with a Handmade Raft
On Yanaha-jima, there are no manuals or search engines. Teams discuss, assign roles, and overcome challenges using limited resources. In this process, individual strengths and team issues that are not easily visible in daily work naturally emerge.
Through this experience, TRAPOL provides an opportunity to foster the "ability to create value through human collaboration," which is becoming increasingly important in the age of AI.
Features of This Program
[1] Overwhelmingly Non-Daily Environment Utilizing Okinawa's Uninhabited Islands
Yanaha-jima, the stage for the training, is an uninhabited island in Okinawa surrounded by cobalt blue seas and coral reefs. Being completely removed from the usual work environment encourages new insights and behavioral changes.
[2] Communication Skills Cultivated by Surviving as a Team
By cooperating with colleagues in essential survival activities such as fire-starting and shelter construction, participants build trust relationships that transcend roles and departments.
[3] Practical Program That Fosters Initiative and Creativity
In an environment without right answers, participants think for themselves, act, and repeat trial and error. This develops the ability to turn new ideas into reality and respond to unexpected situations.
[4] Custom-Designed Training for Each Company
Content is customized to align with corporate philosophy and training objectives.
Program for fostering initiative for new employees
Leadership training for managers
Company-wide team-building training
Vision-sharing retreat for management
And other designs are possible depending on the objectives.
