The "Tetsuji Hayashi SONG FILE SPECIAL" premium live event, featuring Tetsuji Hayashi, a preeminent melody maker with an overwhelming presence in the city pop lineage, alongside his trusted musical companions Junichi Inagaki and Kiyotaka Sugiyama as guests, has been announced. Backed by the band "SWINGING1984," composed of top musicians, they will deliver a superb setlist centered around hit tunes that have colored the eras. Don't miss the MC segments, where you'll catch glimpses of the true selves of these three artists who have walked their own paths in the Japanese music scene! This is a one-day-only, supreme live performance where three talents bound by deep bonds will gather – be sure not to miss it!

◆Melody Maker Tetsuji Hayashi, Loved Across Generations, and Two Artists

Tetsuji Hayashi is one of the leading artists of city pop, having penned hit songs that have garnered hundreds of millions of views worldwide on platforms like YouTube and Spotify, including "Mayonaka no Door ~Stay with me~" (Miki Matsubara). More recently, he has also written pop tunes like "Kanashimi ga Tomaranai" (Anri), which gained attention across the US, and "September" (Mariya Takeuchi), as well as the kayō pop song "Kita Wing" (Akina Nakamori) – songs everyone has heard at least once. This event will feature a dream collaboration uniting the individual styles of two representative male artists who sing his works: Junichi Inagaki, with "P.S. Dakishimetai," and Kiyotaka Sugiyama, with "SUMMER SUSPICION" (Kiyotaka Sugiyama & Omega Tribe).

Junichi Inagaki and Kiyotaka Sugiyama, the male artists Hayashi trusts most, will appear as special guests, delivering hit tunes and sounds that have colored the eras. Junichi Inagaki has released numerous hit songs and city pop numbers provided by Hayashi with his silky voice, including the album "Junichi Inagaki meets Tetsuji Hayashi." This performance is planned to feature not only hits like "1 Dozen no Iiwake" but also masterpieces that showcase their bond, such as "Kanashimi no Distance." Kiyotaka Sugiyama, as the front vocalist for "Kiyotaka Sugiyama & Omega Tribe" from their debut, had hits with every single. After going solo, he has also collaborated on singles like "Kaze no LONELY WAY" and "Boku no Ude no Naka de," as well as the album "REUNITED." For this event, he will perform hits and songs that can only be heard in this collaboration, such as Hayashi's solo song "Kanashimi ga Ippai," which Sugiyama has covered. The special band "SWINGING1984," led by Hayashi and featuring male and female vocalists with outstanding singing abilities, will also adorn these many masterpieces.

≪Tetsuji Hayashi≫

In past SONG FILE LIVE events, guests have performed individually, and they have also been listed as performers in anniversary stages. However, this will be the first time performing together on a stage centered around city pop like this. I am very much looking forward to presenting a stage with these two representative vocalists, who breathed life into my melodies, for all the fans.

≪Junichi Inagaki≫

City pop is currently gaining attention overseas. City pop, which evolved uniquely in Japan's Galapagos-like market, is perhaps why it resonates with people abroad. Mr. City Pop, Tetsuji Hayashi. It is an honor to perform Hayashi-san's masterpieces with Hayashi-san.

The current boom in city pop is something we could never have imagined back then. This is what AOR becomes in the hands of Japanese artists.
