Tennoji Zoo Goods Shop "ZOOQLE" and the "Tennoji Zoo Online Shop," operated by Kintetsu Retail Holdings Co., Ltd., will launch the second series of wooden miscellaneous goods, "Tennoji Zoo's Mejirushi Ki-holder," jointly developed by Tennoji Zoo and "IKONIH," a domestic cypress toy brand developed by Marubeni Wood Products Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Osaka). The sale begins on Saturday, July 11th. Tennoji Zoo will sell capsule toys for 500 yen per play via a wooden gachapon machine, and the online shop will offer a limited edition complete set of all six designs.

This second initiative aims to increase interest in environmental conservation through animals and provide an opportunity for reflection, using cypress and thinned wood from Osaka Prefecture. The gachapon machine itself is also made of wood, featuring a design inspired by nature. It operates by inserting wooden coins instead of currency and turning a handle, making it enjoyable for all ages.

This product is a wooden keychain modeled after the polar bear "Hou-chan," born in Tennoji Zoo in 2020, who is highly popular with visitors for its dynamic dives and adorable gestures.
