Kintetsu Department Store Regional Revitalization Project "Harukas Nippon Expo: A Journey of Discovery for Regional Revitalization" to Launch in Spring 2026, "Kagoshima Edition" Starts May 6th

Kintetsu Department Store will launch the regional revitalization project "Harukas Nippon Expo: A Journey of Discovery for Regional Revitalization" at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store starting in Spring 2026, in collaboration with local governments and businesses across Japan, to promote the unique charms of each region.

Our company aims to transform beyond its traditional role as a "place to sell goods" into a "Hyakka-ten" (store of a hundred values) that delivers a hundred emotions and values. This project aims for Abeno Harukas to become a place that "connects" regions with people, goods, experiences, and historical culture, and to "accumulate" these connections rather than letting them be fleeting, thereby delivering the charms of various parts of Japan to a wider audience. As the first step in this new challenge, starting on May 6, 2026 (Wednesday, substitute holiday), Kagoshima Prefecture will be featured as the "Kagoshima Edition," with the entire Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store promoting the diverse appeal of the prefecture.

### ■ Reported the launch of the project during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Kagoshima Prefecture.

Prior to the project's launch, on March 26 (Thursday), Hiroshi Kitamura, Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, General Manager of Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, Kintetsu Department Store Co., Ltd., paid a courtesy visit to Governor Koichi Shiota at the Kagoshima Prefectural Office.

During the meeting, the purpose of the first phase of the project, "Harukas Nippon Expo: A Journey of Discovery for Regional Revitalization - Kagoshima Edition," and the plan for multi-faceted information dissemination throughout Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store were reported. During the pleasant conversation with the governor, a tasting of "Kagoshima Tea," a local specialty, and an introduction of a "Satsuma Kiriko" lapel pin, a traditional craft gifted by Shimazu Kogyo Co., Ltd., took place. The discussion proceeded in a consistently amicable atmosphere, expressing expectations for further regional revitalization through this project.
