Kintetsu Department Store Nara will simultaneously host the popular small animal-themed handmade event 'Nara ni maru' and the department store's first-ever 'Nara Sloth Department Store' from July 22 (Wed) to July 28 (Tue), 2026, at the 3rd floor event venue.

Kintetsu Department Store Nara, which has been well-received for its animal-themed events such as 'Nara Penguin Land' and 'Nara Finch Expo,' will this summer bring together works with animal motifs carefully selected from across the country.

Born in May 2023 and now in its 5th iteration, 'Nara ni maru' will feature handmade works specializing in niche small animal motifs such as flying squirrels, galagos, chinchillas, hedgehogs, and meerkats, as well as rabbits, chipmunks, and degus, which are hard to find in regular shops.
