Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido Introduces Post-Payment Hometown Tax Service 'Ato-Furu'

Densan Co., Ltd. and Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido, have agreed to introduce 'Ato-Furu,' a post-payment hometown tax service based on local consumption, and have decided to jointly proceed with full-scale operation in the city. It will be possible to use 'Ato-Furu' for hometown tax donations at multiple registered facilities within Noboribetsu City. Noboribetsu City is one of Japan's leading tourist cities, blessed with a rich natural environment and a wide variety of hot springs, attracting over 4 million tourists from home and abroad every year. Through this service, travelers can make donations while reflecting on their travel memories, which is expected to contribute to the creation of a relationship population triggered by tourism and the sustainable revitalization of the local economy.
