Oshiguma is a unique Kabuki practice of pressing one's makeup-painted face onto cloth or paper. The actor's expression of that day remains as a one-of-a-kind piece. This traditional technique has been expanded into art. 'I want to convey a new side of myself outside the stage within my capabilities,' he says. 'I want to broaden the range of what I can embody as an artist.' That thought is embedded in every piece at the venue. Please visit the venue to see how the traces of his true face, never seen on stage, appear as works of art.
