Sho-chu ando, a shochu bar located within Yaesu Public at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, has been delivering the joy of shochu since its opening in September 2025. With a theme of 'making shochu more free and casual,' the bar offers craft shochu and rare selections directly from breweries. While the shop usually focuses on shochu events, this will be its first beer-focused event, highlighting 'SORACHI 1984,' a favorite among customers. We are pleased to announce a collaboration event with the Sapporo Beer 'SORACHI 1984' brand on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event will feature a pairing course including 'SORACHI 1984,' which uses 100% of the legendary 'Sorachi Ace' hop highly acclaimed in the global craft beer scene, along with original cocktails made with SORACHI 1984. This is a special one-day event where you can enjoy a four-course meal. Born in 1984 in Kamifurano, Sorachi District, Hokkaido, the 'Sorachi Ace' hop was not widely adopted domestically at the time due to its unique aroma. However, it was highly praised by overseas craft brewers and gained global attention. It has since been revived as 'SORACHI 1984,' captivating many beer fans with its dignified aroma reminiscent of cypress and lemongrass, and a refreshing finish. On the day of the event, in addition to 'SORACHI 1984,' arranged drinks such as Panache, Red Eye, and Sorachi Latte will be available. We have prepared genre-less pairing dishes to match each drink's personality, including seasonal fish carpaccio, sweet chili shrimp yam woon sen, pulled pork dog, and pumpkin and coconut milk zenzai. It is an event where you can experience the unique aroma of SORACHI 1984 and its compatibility with food.
