Footwear Brand SHAKA to Launch New Model "WALCORE VB" in Early July 2026

Footwear brand SHAKA is introducing a new model, "WALCORE VB," designed with a focus on walking comfort and a hybrid finish.

Named "WALCORE," derived from "Walk + Core," this model is designed to promote an update in how the body is used from the feet up, rather than treating walking merely as movement.

Key features include the world's first "V-lock system," a center shoe lacing system developed with insights from prosthetists who have been working with feet for over 40 years. By creating an even fit from the center of the foot, it achieves a feel that wraps the foot in a "surface" rather than a "point." The easy adjustment feature, taking only two seconds, is also a highlight.

Furthermore, the outsole features Vibram's "Rollingait system®." Its unique propulsion design guides weight distribution forward, supporting smooth walking. Despite having a sole thickness of about 5cm, it provides surprising lightness, and the combination of soft EVA and rubber for enhanced stability balances cushioning and security.
