Monnickendam, a British diamond cutter, was founded in 1890.

The founder, Louis Monnickendam, was recognized as a master cutter with exceptional skill, and the brand has continuously passed down its precise craftsmanship for over 130 years—making it the oldest British diamond cutting brand in the world with an unbroken lineage.

In 1948, Monnickendam was commissioned to cut a rough diamond gifted by the Tanzanian government to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's wedding, demonstrating the trust placed in the brand by the British Royal Family.

Isetan Shinjuku Store Refresh Opening

Monnickendam currently operates a permanent store on the 1st floor jewelry section of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.

On September 2, 2026, Monnickendam will refresh its presence within the 1st floor jewelry area.

The exhibition space will be expanded, allowing customers to view a rich lineup of Monnickendam jewelry, including the iconic "Tudor Rose" series, limited-edition jewelry featuring a special collaboration with the British brand "Merrythought"—complete with a collectible teddy bear—as well as bridal jewelry that emits a lush, fresh, and radiant white sparkle.

To celebrate the refresh opening, a special gift will be offered to customers who make a purchase during the campaign period.
