Daimaru Kobe Store to Host 'Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Exhibition' Starting July 22

Daimaru Kobe Store will host the '100th Anniversary of the Original Debut: Winnie the Pooh Exhibition' at the Daimaru Museum on the 9th floor (Kobe) from July 22 (Wed), 2026, to August 9 (Sun), 2026.

'Winnie the Pooh' has been beloved around the world for over 100 years.

The story, created in 1926 by A.A. Milne from his daily life with his son Christopher Robin, grew into a classic of English literature alongside the delicate illustrations by E.H. Shepard.

Later, Walt Disney adapted it into animation, and the tale has since spread worldwide as an 'eternal story' passed from parent to child, and then to the next generation.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the original debut in 2026, we are proud to present the '100th Anniversary Winnie the Pooh Exhibition'.

The exhibition will first introduce the original illustrations in an atmosphere reflecting the era when the story was born. In the Disney animation section, themed around the Hundred Acre Wood, visitors can experience the timeless story through a variety of displays, including concept art, original animation cels, background paintings, and 3D works, all set within an immersive spatial design that brings Pooh and his friends' world to life.
