ING Co., Ltd. (Osaka Umeda / President and Representative Director: Yoshihiro Osawa), a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo / President and Representative Director: Hiroaki Miyahara), will hold its seasonal limited online morning activity course for elementary school students, "Morning Campus" (commonly known as "Monican"), during the summer vacation period of 2026. This course aims to foster learning habits and independence while helping children nationwide gather at the same time and regulate their daily rhythms.

"Morning Campus" was planned in response to requests from families struggling with disrupted daily rhythms and learning management during long breaks. It is an online program offered only in the mornings. Considering social factors such as extreme heat and the increase in dual-income households, it has been continuously implemented as a "place for learning" where children can participate with peace of mind from home.

This course is aimed at elementary school students from grades 1 to 6 and will be held between 8:00 AM and noon. It is designed as a continuous flow starting with radio exercises, setting learning goals, providing individual question support, and concluding with a review. While online, it emphasizes interactivity, allowing participants nationwide to learn while stimulating each other.

▶ Program Features

The program focuses on "how to learn" and "attitude towards learning" rather than the quantity of learning content, with a simple structure that is easy to continue. Daily attendance, learning volume, question support, and achievement rates are tracked as indicators, and daily progress is shared with parents to ensure coordinated operation with families.

Background of Implementation

In recent years, securing a place for children during long breaks has become a major social issue due to restrictions on outdoor activities caused by extreme heat and the increase in dual-income households. Particularly in after-school care facilities, many regions are seeing situations where the number of children wishing to attend exceeds capacity or there is a shortage of instructors, meaning not all families can be accommodated.

Furthermore, even when acceptance is possible, many voices express concerns about children's growth opportunities and maintaining learning habits due to limitations on usage hours and the uniformity of program content. In light of these circumstances, this course was developed as a new option for children to spend their time safely and proactively while at home.

▶ Future Development

We plan to continue offering this course as a seasonal program in spring, summer, and winter, aiming to develop it into a program that caters to more diverse family environments and learning needs.
