Gakken Cocofump Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo / President and COO: Takeshi Mori), a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo / President and CEO: Hiroaki Miyahara), will hold a special summer vacation workshop, the "Future Childcare Worker Egg Workshop," for high school students at "Gakken Academy Childcare Worker Training Course," a Tokyo-designated childcare worker training facility it operates.

Our company has been engaged in the childcare worker training business since April 2018 to address social issues such as "declining birthrate, childcare shortages, and lack of childcare workers" from the perspective of nurturing high-quality childcare personnel. At "Gakken Academy Childcare Worker Training Course," we are working to train childcare personnel who can be immediately effective and support career formation in the child-rearing support field.

This workshop is a free, three-session program where participants can learn about childcare while actually experiencing things like reading picture books aloud and hand games.

Childcare workers play a vital role in supporting children's futures while watching their growth up close. On the other hand, there are many voices saying that it is difficult to have a concrete image of "what kind of job a childcare worker is" or "if it suits me."

In this workshop, participants will deepen their understanding of childcare work through practical experiences such as reading picture books aloud and hand games, as well as learning the basics of childcare. It is open not only to those aiming to become childcare workers but also to those who "like children" or "want to think about their future career paths."
