[Key Lecture Contents]
<1> Outlook of Renewable Energy Policies Centered on Solar Cells
Mr. Kota Kanayama [1:00 PM - 1:55 PM]
To achieve the "mainstreaming of renewable energy" outlined in the 7th Strategic Energy Plan, the government is promoting the expansion of renewable energy introduction while aiming for coexistence with local communities and suppression of the burden on citizens. Among these, perovskite solar cells are being accelerated for early social implementation and the establishment of mass production systems, as one of the "key products and technologies" in Japan's growth strategy's 17 strategic fields.
On the other hand, challenges such as dealing with the large-scale disposal of solar panels expected from the latter half of the 2030s also exist, and the "Act on the Promotion of Recycling of Waste from Solar Cells" was enacted in May of this year to promote their recycling.
This lecture will explain the current status and future of renewable energy policies, taking into account these recent trends.
1. Trends in Renewable Energy Policies
2. Towards the Introduction of Perovskite Solar Cells
3. Regarding the "Act on the Promotion of Recycling of Waste from Solar Cells, etc." Enacted in May of This Year
4. Q&A / Business Card Exchange
<2> Possibilities of the Solar Panel Disposal Business from the Reality of Photovoltaic Power Generation Facilities
- Verifying What Can Be Done Now at a Practical Level -
Mr. Tasuku Anada [2:05 PM - 3:00 PM]
Photovoltaic power generation facilities have rapidly increased since the start of the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system for renewable energy in July 2012. In 2032, the 20-year power purchase period will end, and a large number of solar panels will begin to be disposed of, with an estimated annual amount of up to 500,000 tons in the latter half of the 2030s, which is expected to strain the remaining capacity of final disposal sites. The government also recognizes this as a major issue, and a bill to mandate recycling has been approved by the Cabinet.
This seminar will introduce what is currently happening with the more than 700,000 photovoltaic power generation facilities nationwide (excluding residential use) and how panel disposal occurs, while explaining the business possibilities and what needs to be done now at a practical level.
1. Market Trends of Photovoltaic Power Generation Facilities and Movements Related to Disposal
2. What is Happening with Photovoltaic Power Generation Facilities Now? How Does Disposal Occur?
3. Businesses That Will Be Created and Activated by the Recycling Obligation
4. What Should Be Considered and What Should Be Done Now
5. Q&A / Business Card Exchange
