Better life with upcycle (Operation: Eiya Seipan Co., Ltd. / Headquarters: Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture) has collaborated with Hanamaru Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture), which operates "Hanamaru Udon," to develop an upcycled craft beer, "SANUKI 870 ALE," utilizing dough scraps generated during the udon manufacturing process.

It is currently available for dine-in only at 34 Hanamaru Udon locations. As supplies are limited, it will be available until sold out.

A New Value Born from the Udon-Making Scene

In the udon-making process, dough scraps are inevitably generated to maintain quality.

"SANUKI 870 ALE" is a craft beer born from utilizing these scraps as a partial ingredient for malt.

By giving a new role to a material that inherently has significant value but limited applications, and regenerating it as deliciousness, we propose new possibilities for reducing food loss.

We want to deliver what the creators have painstakingly made to our customers with as little waste as possible.

We want to contribute to society, even in a small way.

And we want to share delicious experiences and enjoyment with many people.

This project was born from the shared aspirations of both companies.

Better life with upcycle is an upcycled craft beer brand that operates with the concept of "breathing new life into discarded value to create a better future."

It transforms materials that are difficult to utilize, such as bread crusts generated at bakeries and non-standard agricultural products, into new value as craft beer.

Better life with upcycle offers joint development (OEM) of craft beer and low-malt beer utilizing not only the bread crusts generated at its own bakery but also unused materials from other companies' manufacturing processes, as in this project.

We welcome inquiries from companies that wish to "give new value to discarded materials" or "communicate their sustainability initiatives through their unique original products."
