Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium, which creates a new "connection" between the sea and people, and water and people, will hold its first Summer Night Aquarium "Iru Carnival" to heat up summer nights after closing from Saturday, July 25, 2026, to Sunday, August 23, 2026, and during Silver Week from Saturday, September 19, to Wednesday, September 23. The theme is heart-pounding, body-moving "Jump"!!

Set in the aquarium after closing, this summer night aquarium combines the dynamic jumps of dolphins, the lively movements of sardine schools, and powerful acrobatics by performers, making it an enjoyable summer night aquarium for all generations. Furthermore, after closing, when the daytime heat subsides, you can enjoy the aquarium in the cool of the evening, observing creatures that show their sleeping forms, offering a special, different experience.

Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium will hold its first Summer Night Aquarium "Iru Carnival" set in a "night aquarium" that we want you to experience precisely when the daytime heat subsides. In addition to the summer vacation period from Saturday, July 25, 2026, to Sunday, August 23, 2026, it will also be held during Silver Week from Saturday, September 19, to Wednesday, September 23, (Holiday), livening up your evening outings until the end of summer.

Three "Jump" Performances to Tour the Night Aquarium!

An exhilarating opening performance by performers and sardines! Performance in front of the Grand Tank "Spark for Jump"

"Sparkling of Life," a performance weaving together sardines and music, is powered up by integrating performer acrobatics. An air mat will be set up in front of the first-floor Grand Tank "Sparkling Sea of Life," where performers will execute numerous acrobatic routines. The close-up acrobatics are thrilling!

You can also enjoy a dynamic performance weaving together performers and sardines, with the lively swimming of sardine schools and bubble effects.

A spectacular main performance where light, music, dolphins, and acrobatics merge! Night Dolphin Performance "Iru Carnival!!"

The main performance, "Iru Carnival!!," will take place at the Umino-Mori Stadium, featuring enhanced lighting effects, four bottlenose dolphins, and performers who will present a dynamic, night-time performance themed around "jump."

"Iru Carnival!!" is performed to an original soundtrack, with various dolphin jumps synchronized with light effects, and performers enlivening the venue with acrobatics and dance, making it a night dolphin performance enjoyable for both children and adults.

In the pool at Umino-Mori Stadium, which lacks the acrylic panels characteristic of other venues, the dolphins' jumps and the performers' dances unfold up close, guaranteeing a performance that will make your heart leap with excitement.

You can enjoy it by jumping along with simple choreography performed during the show, creating a unified experience between the performers and the audience.

Creatures' Appearance Unique to the Night

After closing, the creatures' behavior changes. You can see the charming forms of penguins dozing off and the active movements of nocturnal American beavers, offering a different charm from the daytime aquarium.
