Solving the 'Where to Start' Dilemma: Takaoka City Hosts Job Hunting Prep and Popular Internship Briefings

Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture (operated by Asian Bridge Inc.) will host two events to support students' job hunting activities: the 'Summer Vacation Job Hunting Prep Session' and the 'Short-term Summer Internship Tour Online Briefing' in June 2026.

In recent years, as the job hunting process begins earlier, participating in summer internships has become increasingly critical for students' career development. However, many students express confusion about 'where to start'. In response, Takaoka City is launching consecutive events to support the early stages of students' job hunting.

By providing end-to-end support from self-analysis to internship applications, the city offers students the opportunity to discover work styles and companies that suit them. The two events are interlinked, allowing participants to progress through self-analysis, entry sheet (ES) drafting, company research, and internship application all at once.

Event 1: Brainstorming with Seniors! Summer Vacation Job Hunting Prep Session (June 13) This event provides a program for students just starting their job hunt to simultaneously advance their self-analysis and company research. The main feature is a self-analysis workshop utilizing 40 types of cards. By intuitively organizing their values, students can clarify their strengths and criteria for choosing a job, and proceed directly to drafting their entry sheets. Real-world insights from young employees and feedback on entry sheets from corporate representatives will also be provided. Participants can apply for internships directly on the spot. Event 2: Short-term Summer Internship Tour Online Briefing (June 15) This briefing will explain in detail the appeal and application process for Takaoka City's highly popular 'Short-term Summer Internship Tour'. About the Takaoka City Short-term Summer Internship Tour This program allows students to experience five 1-day internships at five different companies over five days. Students can choose from themed courses, enabling them to efficiently conduct industry research and company comparisons in a short period. The four planned courses include: 'Forefront of Manufacturing: Protecting Lifestyle and Tradition', 'Transforming the Region with Digital: DX/IT Utilization', 'Work Style Matters: Work-Life Balance Focus', and 'Energizing the City: Regional Revitalization'.

Applications for each course open on June 1. We encourage all students preparing to kick off their summer job hunting to take this as their first step.
