The automatic baby formula maker 'milkmagic' was born from the parenting experience of BetterDays' representative, Mio Okawa. It is Japan's first automatic baby formula maker, developed to reduce the burden of childcare for busy families and allow them to raise their children with greater peace of mind. Based on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's formula preparation guidelines, it can safely prepare formula at a temperature of 70°C or higher with the push of a button.

Since sales began on March 20, 2026, at two stores in the Tokyo/Kanto area—Akachan Honpo Lalaport Toyosu and Akachan Honpo Grandtree Musashikosugi—we have received many requests from customers saying, 'I want to see the product in person at the store' and 'I want to buy it at a nearby store.'

To provide more opportunities for families with children to see 'milkmagic' in person, we have expanded the number of Akachan Honpo stores handling the product to 26 nationwide. The coverage area now includes the Kanto region as well as Hokkaido, Tohoku, Chubu, Hokuriku, and Kansai, making it easier for customers who were previously considering the product primarily online to see it in stores.

We will continue to expand the number of Akachan Honpo stores handling the product according to customer needs.

milkmagic: Product Overview

After setting the powdered formula and water and pressing start, the milk is automatically prepared in approximately 3 to 10 seconds.

'milkmagic' is equipped with Thermo Block technology, allowing it to produce water at 70°C or higher in seconds even in Japan's low-voltage environment. It allows for fine adjustment of the milk amount (adjustable in 10mL increments from 30mL to 240mL) and temperature settings (adjustable in 5°C increments from 35°C to 70°C). The milk concentration can also be finely adjusted, and it is compatible with powdered formula from various manufacturers.
