CARTA HOLDINGS, Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Hideki Watanabe, hereinafter "CARTA HD") will implement "Parent-Child Office Days" at its Toranomon office from July 21, 2026 (Tue) to August 31, 2026 (Mon) as a measure to overcome the "summer vacation wall" faced by dual-income families.

Building on last year's results, where 90% of participating employees responded that it was "effective," and based on requests, we have updated the environment this year by providing the same level of facilities in the child-friendly area as in the work areas. By supporting work-life balance that allows parents to work with the same productivity as usual, we will further promote employee well-being.

Background and Last Year's Results: Over 90% Satisfaction, Extended Period in Response to Feedback

With the increase in dual-income families, the "summer vacation wall," where parents struggle to find childcare during long breaks, and the "4th-grade wall," when children graduate from after-school care, are serious social issues. To alleviate employee anxiety regarding these challenges and provide a secure working environment, CARTA HD conducted a trial of "Summer Vacation Parent-Child Office Week" last July.

During these parent-child office days, a dedicated "child-friendly area" is set up within the office to ensure a safe space for children. This environment allows employees to concentrate on tasks such as attending meetings and individual work while keeping a close eye on their children nearby.

During the trial period, we had up to 10 families participating on peak days, with an average of about 3 families per day. In a post-event survey, 90% of participating employees responded that it was "effective as support for balancing childcare and work." Based on numerous positive comments such as "I was able to attend appointments as scheduled and take on new proposals" and "I was able to interact with other parents who have children of similar ages," we extended the implementation period to the end of August (August 29) last year, beyond the original schedule.

This Year's Updates: Reflecting Employee Feedback for an Environment That Doesn't Compromise Productivity

While last year's event received high praise, the post-event survey also included requests for environmental improvements, such as "installation of external monitors for computers to concentrate on work."

To incorporate employee feedback and make improvements, CARTA HD will newly expand equipment such as external monitors in the child-friendly area for this year's implementation. This will create a hybrid environment where parents can concentrate on their work with the same high productivity as usual, while maintaining a space where children can spend their time safely within sight.

In this second year, we have updated the work environment based on employee feedback, providing a more secure time for both parents and children.
