Fostering non-cognitive skills through 'self-expression' in the AI era: Call for entries for the 14th Mirasapo Painting and Essay Contest

The DAC Future Support Cultural Foundation, an incorporated association promoting social contribution activities for the DAC Group, will hold the 14th Mirasapo Painting and Essay Contest, supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), with the themes of 'Family Bonds' and 'Adventure/Challenge.' This contest aims to foster the ability to proactively identify social issues and continue to take on challenges (non-cognitive skills) in an era where AI is rapidly advancing. Eligibility is for elementary and junior high school students living in Japan. The application period is from June 1 to September 4, 2026, for essays, and June 1 to September 11, 2026, for paintings. Winners will receive prizes such as family trips to Hokkaido or Osaka. We also provide know-how videos for children who are not good at writing essays.
