In M&A-related points such as goodwill amortization and contingent consideration (earn-outs), there are many instances where Japanese accounting standards and IFRS differ in treatment. These differences impact how post-acquisition financial performance is viewed, investment decisions, and consolidated accounting and disclosure systems, making them critical points in enhancing enterprise value through M&A.
In this seminar, we have invited CFOs from Seiwa Holdings Co., Ltd. and GROWTH VERSE, Inc., both of which have adopted IFRS since their pre-IPO stages, to share real-world knowledge based on their actual experiences regarding the background of adoption, practical issues, benefits, and challenges.
