JOEKR, an accessory and silverware brand operated by e-moer Co., Ltd., participated in the Dassai pop-up event "Art and Dassai, Dassai and Art," held at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store from May 13, 2026 (Wed) to May 26, 2026 (Tue), alongside master artisans from Tokyo Silverware.
At the Dassai pop-up event held at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store
The event featured a curated collection of products developed through JOEKR's planning and design collaboration, including the "Kintai Bridge and Cherry Blossoms" series linked to a special label by manga artist Hisashi Hagiwara, silver sake cups and vessels by Tokyo Silverware, and collaborative sake ware with ceramicist and tea master Shota Yamada.
This initiative was inspired by the connection between two bridges—Nihombashi and Kintai Bridge—cherry blossom scenery, and the experience of savoring Dassai sake. JOEKR combined Tokyo Silverware's craftsmanship with contemporary design to expand the act of enjoying sake into an experience of art and craftsmanship.
Product Collection Inspired by Nihombashi, Kintai Bridge, and Cherry Blossom Season

Kintai Bridge and Cherry Blossoms (Bottle Case)
The product collection draws inspiration from the venue—Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store—and the landscape of Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where Dassai is brewed.
Both Nihombashi in Tokyo and Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni are counted among Japan’s three most famous bridges. JOEKR used the symbolic connection between these two bridges as a starting point to translate the imagery of Kintai Bridge and cherry blossoms, along with the moment of savoring Dassai, into designs for silver sake cups, drinking vessels, bottle case ornaments, and chopstick rests.
"This collection represents our first attempt to preserve seasonal memories and regional connections within sake vessels and wooden boxes. We hope people can enjoy layering landscapes and seasons into their sake-drinking moments" (Kojiro Kanemoto, Representative Director, e-moer Co., Ltd.).
[Event-Exclusive] "Kintai Bridge and Cherry Blossoms" Series Linked to Hisashi Hagiwara’s Special Label
The "Kintai Bridge and Cherry Blossoms" series, linked to a special label designed by manga artist Hisashi Hagiwara, was sold exclusively at the event.
This series was created by overlaying the cherry blossom scene depicted on the special Dassai bottle label with the actual cherry blossoms at Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The bottle case ornaments feature metal components modeled after Kintai Bridge, available in both silver and brass with 18K gold plating.
The cherry blossom-themed metal decorations were designed by Joe Watanabe (Nari Watanabe) and crafted by Takamitsu Kamikawa of Tokyo Silverware. Additionally, the "Kintai Bridge and Cherry Blossoms (Chopstick Rest Set)" was sold as a set combining bridge-inspired chopstick rests with chopsticks made from cherry wood.
Exhibiting Tokyo Silverware’s Silver Sake Cups, Including "Silver Cup Sakura" Modeled After Real Cherry Blossoms
Silver Cup Sakura (GINPAI SAKURA) / Artist: Takamitsu Kamikawa, Tokyo Silverware
Silver Cup Oboro (GINPAI OBORO) / Artist: Takamitsu Kamikawa, Tokyo Silverware
The Tokyo Silverware silver cup and silver vessel series featured pieces such as "Silver Cup Sakura" and "Silver Cup Oboro," alongside other pure silver sake vessels.
Each piece highlights the unique luster, reflections, and substantial feel characteristic of silver. Beyond their function as sake vessels, they also possess sculptural beauty as art objects that capture light and scenery.
Notably, "Silver Cup Sakura" was crafted by taking actual cherry blossoms as a mold and replicating their form in pure silver. Rather than using cherry blossoms as a decorative motif, this piece captures the natural form itself, preserving the essence of the season in a tangible, handheld vessel.
Other pieces included hand-shaped silver cups using the traditional "hera-jiri" technique by Tokyo Silverware artisans, "Silver Cup Kinkon" with golden traces embedded in surface engravings, "Silver Cup Kacho" adorned with rose and butterfly motifs, "Silver Cup Mizukage" expressing water-like ripples, "Silver Cup Naikai" featuring silver lining inside Shigaraki pottery, and "Ginshaku," a solid silver sake vessel formed as a single piece.
Sake Cups That Reflect Scenery: Collaboration Between Ceramicist Shota Yamada and Tokyo Silverware’s Takamitsu Kamikawa

Sake Cup Collaboration Between Ceramicist Shota Yamada and Takamitsu Kamikawa of Tokyo Silverware
"Sake Cup No.1–No.4" are collaborative sake vessels created by ceramicist and tea master Shota Yamada and Takamitsu Kamikawa of Tokyo Silverware. The concept of attaching a convex pure silver plate to the base of Shoda’s ceramic vessels was proposed by Joe Watanabe (Nari Watanabe).
By affixing a convex silver plate to the base of the ceramic cup, the silver surface reflects surrounding light and scenery, creating a structure where the outside world appears within the vessel. When sake is poured under a cherry tree, the blossoms are reflected inside the cup, allowing the vessel to display different expressions depending on location and season.
The event offered all four pieces—"Sake Cup No.1" through "No.4"—each priced at ¥165,000 (tax included). Moving forward, collaborative products with Shota Yamada will be launched under the brand name "Utsutsu" as part of the Produced by JOEKR series.

Creator and Designer Comments
Takamitsu Kamikawa, Tokyo Silverware
Dassai, often considered synonymous with premium sake, began in a small brewery deep in the mountains of Yamaguchi. Rather than relying solely on artisan intuition, the brewery meticulously quantifies and records data on temperature and fermentation, enabling consistent delivery of high quality worldwide by relentlessly pursuing the ideal of junmai daiginjo.
"Not sake to get drunk or to sell, but sake to be savored."
The process of polishing rice to its extreme and refining it into a clean, transparent flavor represents a spiritual pursuit—accumulating immense time and effort to approach the essence.
Similarly, Tokyo Silverware, passed down since the Edo period, is a traditional craft shaped through countless hammerings and polishings, emanating a quiet brilliance. In this work, I treated the surface of pure silver as a canvas, engraving the moment when sake rises.
As the cup tilts, aroma unfurls into the air and aftertaste gently lingers. I entrusted this invisible flow to vertical strokes, connecting Dassai’s path of innovation and the handcrafted time etched into silver with a single line.
When two passions—sake and vessel—intersect, a new landscape emerges. I invite you to experience it.
Shota Yamada, Ceramicist
Inspired by Dassai’s spirit of innovation, this sake cup reflects scenery.
Combining ceramic art with Tokyo Silverware’s technique, we embedded silver into the base of the vessel. When sake is poured, the mirrored surface softly reflects the outside world—cherry blossoms, clouds, sky, city lights. Each time you drink, a new scene appears within the cup.
A new experience: savoring not only sake but also the landscape within the vessel. This is a sake cup designed to be taken outdoors, allowing you to enjoy Japanese sake in beautiful surroundings.
Born from the nature of Iwakuni and Dassai’s pioneering spirit,
I hope this vessel, created in resonance with that spirit, will inspire people to take sake to new places.
Joe Watanabe (Nari Watanabe), Designer
Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The clear flow of the Nishiki River and the elegant five-arch wooden bridge—
Kintai Bridge.
In spring, cherry blossoms bloom in full glory, and the richness of nature and warmth of people breathe throughout the town.
What I felt in Iwakuni was not merely scenic beauty, but a quiet harmony between land and people.
This design reflects the spirit of Dassai, born in Iwakuni. Since its founding in 1948, Dassai has respected tradition while continuously innovating beyond boundaries. During my visit, I sensed a spirit of challenge—where no limit is set on rice polishing, and each individual strives to surpass common sense.
In response to that philosophy, I placed the arch of Kintai Bridge at the center of the box as a symbol, yet deliberately extended the design outward, beyond the circular frame.
The bridge, the cherry blossoms, the river’s flow—they do not stay confined within boundaries,
but expand outward, toward the future.
Just as Dassai has expanded the very concept of sake, this design expresses the intention to transcend established frameworks.
The central ornament on the folding lid is more than mere decoration. I hope you can sense in it a quiet resolve—symbolizing Iwakuni’s nature, human warmth, and the spirit of challenging beyond limits.
