Godot Inc. (Godot/Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, CEO Ken Moriyama, hereinafter "Godot") has been selected for the FY2026 "Startup Creation Incubation Research and Development Support Project ICT Startup League" implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, aiming to foster the creation and nurturing of startups involved in ICT research and development.

The "Startup Creation Incubation Research and Development Support Project ICT Startup League" implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications promotes the creation and nurturing of startups through ICT research and development and accompanying support for individuals, groups, or startups aiming to start or establish and expand businesses, focusing on commercializing technology and refining business plans.

[Content and Background of the Selected Project]

Following this selection, Godot aims to expand its urban behavior simulation platform, which fuses behavioral science and AI, to traffic policy design based on "understanding human behavior." It will reproduce the behavior of virtual citizens (Synthetic Citizens) with diverse attributes and values using LLM agents and visualize the execution of policy scenarios in a dynamic mobility environment. By developing a prototype of such an urban behavior simulation AI, it will enable ex-ante verification of the effects and side effects of multiple policies.

The background to this is that our company was selected for JETRO's "GREEN TRANSFORMATION ACCELERATION PROGRAMME 2024," providing an opportunity to collaborate and cooperate with the Malaysian conglomerate Sunway Group utilizing green technology (GX) and other means. Godot has identified unique strengths and potential for value creation in behavioral science and AI simulation within urban infrastructure supporting GX and the Climate & Health* domain.

Moving forward, leveraging the results of this project, Godot will advance business development in urban design support centered on "human decision-making and behavior" in emerging countries where chronic traffic congestion causing economic losses, increased stress for people, and reduced quality of life (Well-being) are serious issues.

*Climate & Health refers to the impact of climate change on human health and well-being, including heatstroke, waterborne diseases, vector-borne diseases, food poisoning, malnutrition, mental health issues, and physical discomfort due to air pollution, which are high-risk in hot and humid environments.

[About Our Product "Narrative Finder"]

This selection will accelerate the technological advancement of our AI behavior simulator, "Narrative Finder." Through this support project, we will expand this technological foundation into the transportation domain, further accelerating the social implementation of behavioral science AI in supporting decision-making for companies, local governments, and cities.
