'Children's Beauty Salon' Held in Hita City, Oita, a Regional Support Project for Self-Esteem

i-shift Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shingo Ito) held an experiential event called 'Children's Beauty Salon' on June 7, 2026, at Patria Hita in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, with the goal of enhancing children's self-esteem.

The event received significant attention immediately after the recruitment began, with 27 applicants for the 14 available slots.

Fourteen elementary school students from Hita participated and received haircuts from local hairdressers. Through the experience of having their hair cut, followed by photo sessions and interviews, the children were able to discover a new side of themselves.

Hita City Mayor Michiko Mukuno attended the event to observe the children's experience.

The event was made possible through the comprehensive support of the total beauty salon 'Link・hita' in Hita.

The company intends to continue this project and create further opportunities to foster self-esteem and self-efficacy in children.

The project stems from the life experiences of CEO Shingo Ito, a native of Hita. He wishes to give back to his hometown by providing new value to the children who represent its future.

The next session is scheduled for August 2026, and the project is planned to run about six times a year, on a bi-monthly basis.
