MamaWell Inc. (based in Tsukuba, Ibaraki; CEO: Marika Seki), which provides maternal and child health support through a combination of personal midwives and digital health data, announced the launch of its service in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture.
MamaWell is a personalized health management service that supports the balance between pregnancy and career, leveraging personal midwives and digital health data technology. It is currently provided to over 200 companies and health insurance unions, as well as local governments such as Shinagawa Ward. By launching in Tokai Village, which is actively promoting childcare support, the company aims to contribute to a society where more pregnant women can enjoy a secure pregnancy life.
Mayor Osamu Yamada of Tokai Village stated, 'With this partnership, a system has been established to receive professional advice from a personal midwife. This allows us to respond even more carefully to the anxieties and concerns of pregnant women and their partners.'
MamaWell aims to provide optimal support to pregnant women regardless of their location. The service collects vital data such as heart rate and activity levels via wearable devices for monitoring, and midwives provide individually optimized health management plans. With 24-hour chat support, it seeks to reduce anxieties during pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
