Announcement of the "R26B 1/6 Scale Le Mans Victory 35th Anniversary Edition" Release

MZRacing is pleased to announce the release of the Le Mans Victory 35th Anniversary Edition model, a 1/6 scale precise reproduction of the R26B 4-rotor racing rotary engine mounted on the Mazda 787B.

This engine model newly includes a rear section kit for the Mazda 787B and a racing clutch on the engine side. The rear section kit is equipped with components such as the bell housing and transmission case, assembled in the same configuration as the actual car.

Furthermore, a new gimmick adopted in this model allows for two display states: a connected state where the rear section kit slides to connect the engine and transmission, and a separated state where the racing clutch set and clutch release bearing attached to the flywheel can be viewed. The combination of the precisely reproduced rear section kit and the R26B engine is a specification befitting the Le Mans Victory 35th Anniversary model.

MZRacing and Kusaka Engineering Co., Ltd. have collaborated on R26B engine models in four previous specifications, all released as limited-quantity, made-to-order products. The final model was the Le Mans Victory 30th Anniversary Final Edition, released in November 2021, which included the R26B engine model plus a set of eccentric shafts, four rotor housings, and four rotors.

Immediately after the order completion for this model, we received strong requests from many fans for a resale. However, due to our policy of not reselling products with the exact same specifications as limited items, the search for new items to include with the engine model became the biggest challenge in responding to these resale requests.

Then, in the autumn of 2025, the rear section kit, which had been stored deep within Mazda's parts inventory, was miraculously discovered. Work to commercialize it began immediately, leading to this successful product release announcement.
