NEWh Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kenji Kamiya; hereinafter "NEWh") has developed a new business development operating system called "CI-OS (C-I-O-S)" on July 14, 2026, which activates generative AI based on proposers’ questions and corporate strategy.

Background and Overview of CI-OS

NEWh announces its Corporate Innovation OS "CI-OS (C-I-O-S)" for new business development and begins recruiting companies to participate in a Proof of Concept (PoC) program to validate the value of CI-OS. In the initial PoC phase, verification will be conducted primarily with large enterprises’ new business development departments and innovation programs, using actual project themes. (Product page: https://www.ci-os.ai/)

In the field of new business development, generative AI has accelerated tasks such as document creation and idea generation. However, the challenges extend beyond individual proposers’ skill gaps. When discussions proceed without proper consultation or alignment with internal context, it becomes difficult to clarify key questions such as "Why should our company pursue this?", "Which assumptions are weak?", or "What should be verified with primary data?". Even if plausible answers increase, without an environment that deepens inquiry and preserves decision-making pathways and organizational learning, progress toward actual business creation stalls.

What NEWh aims to achieve with CI-OS is not the automation of new business development through AI.

It is to ensure that "new business initiatives do not end as an individual’s solitary challenge."

With CI-OS, by starting from the proposer’s intent and corporate strategy, AI is activated to provide necessary materials and discussion points, enabling people to focus on inquiry and decision-making. Generative AI is not used as a tool to deliver conclusions, but as a counterpart that draws out internal assets and know-how, returning materials, discussion points, counterarguments, and alternative proposals needed for evaluation. This allows proposers to avoid working in isolation and instead advance uniquely tailored business development aligned with their organization.

The questions, decisions, iterations, and evaluation comments generated throughout this process are not confined to individual projects but are transformed into organizational capabilities for new business development.

The CI-OS Philosophy: Connecting Founders’ Questions and Judgments with Generative AI and Internal/External Knowledge and Assets

CI-OS embeds this philosophy into its product through four core principles:

Activate AI from Human Intent

The proposer formulates questions, reviews materials, develops hypotheses, and makes decisions on inclusion or exclusion. Human intent is input first, followed by generative AI support.

Deepen Questions Rather Than Deliver Answers

Generative AI is not used as a shortcut to conclusions. Instead, at each phase, it returns counter-questions, counterarguments, alternative proposals, and unresolved discussion points.

Create Unique Solutions from Knowledge and Assets

General external knowledge alone cannot establish significance or uniqueness for a company’s business. Rather than merely referencing internal documents and past decisions, CI-OS contextualizes them as strategic themes, organizational resources, decision criteria, and learning assets, preparing them as meaningful inputs for generative AI. Based on this, it constructs hypotheses for competitive advantage and verification points.

Transform Individual Trial and Error into Organizational Business Development Capability

Discussions and evaluations are not confined to individual projects but are accumulated as knowledge assets to be leveraged in future projects and for nurturing future proposers.

Call for Validation Partners

In this paid PoC program, NEWh will validate 1–2 themes from partner companies, covering internal document integration, structuring starting points and questions, identifying business opportunities and designing concepts, organizing strategy and business models, and preparing decision materials for evaluators. The goal of the PoC is not to validate the success of the new business itself, but to assess the quality of deliberation on real themes, the clarity of decision materials, and the value of accumulated learning.

The standard case spans 4 months (1 month preparation + 3 months project), priced at a total of 1.8 million JPY (excluding tax), comprising a 300,000 JPY setup fee and 500,000 JPY per month for three months. This fee includes real-theme validation using CI-OS, weekly mentoring by NEWh directors for proposers, regular coordination meetings with administrators/organizers, and reviews of decision material preparation for evaluation sessions.

Partner companies will retain deliverables from theme discussions (research findings, business opportunities/concepts, strategy sheets, decision materials for evaluators, etc.) and PoC validation results (ease of data input, effectiveness of process accumulation, impact on quality and speed of theme evaluation, etc.). In the accompanying support, NEWh directors will help proposers organize their questions, hypotheses, and inclusion/exclusion decisions, refining AI outputs into robust decision materials suitable for presentation in evaluation meetings.

Duration, scope, and pricing can be customized per company based on the number and scope of themes and data/security requirements. Even at early stages before final decisions, companies can consult in advance about suitable themes and implementation approaches for the paid PoC.

Comment from CI-OS Business Lead

NEWh Inc.

Executive Officer, CI-OS Business Lead Yusuke Koike

For five years, NEWh has supported new business development for over 150 companies, primarily large enterprises, accompanying them from ideation and validation through evaluation and proposal. The experience gained has been refined into structured processes, questions, decision materials, and output templates—forming the foundation of CI-OS.

Generative AI is not merely a tool to deliver answers faster. When used as a counterpart that challenges, counters, and verifies evidence, it enables proposers to reach personal conviction and advance to the next decision. We have built and practiced this approach to using generative AI in real-world operations.

CI-OS is a product that translates NEWh’s field-tested business development frameworks and generative AI utilization models into interface, data, and AI design, delivering a practical user experience. By contextualizing internal documents and past decisions into formats usable by generative AI for discussion support, CI-OS advances current projects while preserving decisions for future ones. Going forward, we will continuously incorporate insights from our hands-on support experience, evolving the product to fundamentally innovate the new business development process in the generative AI era.
